What is KnowledgeTree Appliance?
The KnowledgeTree Appliance - based on KnowledgeTree's Open Source document management system, Version 3.3.1. - is a single, simple, application that ships with a pre-configured installation of the complete system, including MySQL, Apache, and PHP. The document management system software is pre-installed onto a cut-down, maintenance-free, Linux operating system. All the components required to run Knowledgetree, including an operating system, is wrapped for distribution in an easy-to-install package.
KnowledgeTree Appliance is available in a variety of builds, including virtual machine images, bootable install CDs/DVDs, VMWare, and hard-drive images. Once installed, to a dedicated physical or virtual server, KnowledgeTree Appliance is easily maintained; updates are packaged, and sent to the Server via the Internet, further reducing the total cost of ownership.
