The OrangeHRM Appliance is based on the open-source human resource management system, OrangeHRM version 2.1. It ships with a pre-configured OrangeHRM installation, MySQL, apache, and PHP 5.2. More information about the management system itself is available here: http://www.orangehrm.com/home/

Installation

Download and run the virtual appliance of your choice, and boot. A message will be displayed on the console. Visit the first URL mentioned, and go through the setup steps. The MySQL root password is preconfigured and stored in /root/mysql-passwords on the appliance. Enter this password in the "Privileged Database User Password" field in the web configuration. Check the option "Use the same Database User for OrangeHRM". Continue the setup steps, and you will have a running OrangeHRM system ready to use.

Please follow the directions for the rPath Appliance Platform to check for and apply updates to your OrangeHRM appliance.
