WebCushion provides blanket protection against the rough edges of the Internet for children of all ages. Based upon rPath Linux, the excellent DansGuardian content filtering system, and the Squid Proxy Cache Server, WeBCushion will perform well and scale from large homes, to schoolrooms full of browsing youngsters.
You can download the WebCushion ISO image from the rBuilder Project Page, burn it to disc, install it on some old or decommissioned hardware, and begin having a go at filtering HTTP requests for dozens of users in about half an hour.
Installation and Use
There is a new public website for the WebCushion project with documentation, and resources such as forums, mailing lists, and an issue system.
