Appliance Administration:Configure Notification

The rPath Appliance Platform Agent (rAPA) includes a Configure Notification task which is enabled by default. In this task, a rAPA user can configure the email relay server, mail originator address, and recipients of email notifications about system events.

Use the following steps to configure email notifications:

1. Access and log in to the rPath Appliance Platform Agent web interface.
2. Click Configuration from the rAPA menu at the left.
3. Click Configure Notification from the expanded menu.
4. In the Relay Server Configuration section, type the host name or IP address of the mail relay server, and type an email address used to complete each notification email's "From" field.
5. In the Notification Addresses section, manage email addresses in the list as follows:
   1. Add an entry by clicking Add Email and completing the new text box with the email address
   2. Modify entries directly in the text boxes provided.
   3. Delete an entry by clicking the X next to it in the list.
6. Click Save to save the changes, or navigate away from the page to cancel the changes.
