The following example graphical installation provides instruction for the process of installing an appliance from an ISO image (such as a CD, DVD, or network-accessible ISO) built in rBuilder. Appliance builders may make modifications to the install process that shorten or extend the steps provided here.

After successfully booting to the installation media, the boot menu offers selections of graphical installation mode or text installation mode.

  • To use the graphical installer, press ENTER.
  • To install in text mode, type linux text and press ENTER.

The boot loader screen provides help through function keys, such as F3 and F5. Press these keys if you need to load corresponding help screens. When you see a boot loader screen similar to that shown in the figure at right, press ENTER to continue the graphical installation.
