Appliance Administration:Manage Entitlements

The rPath Appliance Platform Agent (rAPA) includes a Manage Entitlements task which is enabled if and a particular file (/etc/conary/entitlements.xml) is included on the appliance. In this task, a rAPA user can add an entitlement key for the appliance to provide access to upstream repositories from which the appliance obtains updates.

Use the following steps to add or modify an entitlement key:

1. Access and log in to the rPath Appliance Platform Agent web interface.
2. Click Configuration from the rAPA menu at the left.
3. Click Manage Entitlements from the expanded menu.
4. If you are replacing an existing entitlement key, remove the text from the text box.
5. Paste an entitlement key for the appliance in the text box.
6. Click Save.

Please note that the entitlement tab will only show for an authenticated (logged in) administrator.
