Conary:Namespace Registry

Conary uses namespaces (for example, the rpl in /conary.rpath.com@rpl:1/2.2.3-4-2) to denote lines of development, and for separating multiple lines of development within a single repository. Using one of these namespaces in your branch name is a statement of general compatibility with the line of development with which the namespace is associated. The following namespaces have been defined:

• local -- Reserved for internal Conary use for branches where there is no repository or there is only an inaccessible repository (as in rMake).
• rpath -- Used by rPath for rPath products other than rPath Linux.
• rpl -- Used by rPath for rPath Linux development; used in other contexts to indicate compatibility with rPath Linux.
• fl -- Used by Foresight Linux
• kde -- Used by kde.rpath.org
