Really Simple Syndication
RSS is a family of Web feed formats used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, and podcasts. An RSS document (which is called a "feed" or "web feed" or "channel") contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with web sites in an automated manner that can be piped into special programs or filtered displays.
rBuilder and RSS
rBuilder makes use of many RSS feeds to keep members informed of changes happening to their products and projects. Most modern web browsers make use of an auto-discovery feature that will inform you when an RSS feed is available on a web page.
To subscribe to these feeds you may use your favorite feed reader such as Lifera, Akregator, Blogbridge, or Google Reader. When an upstream change happens on a product or project you are subscribed to, your feed list will update with the most recent change keeping you alert on upstream development.
The following feeds are present in rBuilder:
- On the front page: New Product/Project releases and New Product/Projects created
- On each product/project page: Repository commits and New Product/Project releases
