| Question: How can I remove or roll back software installed with Conary? | ||
Answer: Conary provides two mechanisms for removing software installed with Conary:
- Erase software with conary erase. Use conary query and its options to get information about installed software prior to erasing.
- Roll back updates made with conary udpate and conary updateall, restoring the system to a previous state using conary rollback. Use conary rblist to list the available rollbacks and the details of what changed during each update.
| Use conary erase to remove files, components, or packages that are installed with a group while also ensuring that those removed items will not be reinstalled during group updates. See FAQ:Customize Groups by Erasing Troves for more information on this Conary feature. |
