rBuilder Online --> Groups --> Group Builder

rBuilder groups can be created and edited by product owners and developers. These activities are launched from the product's Group Builder page. There are two sections on this page: Current Group and Other Groups.

Current Group represents the current group with which you are working. When you create or modify a group, that group becomes the current group around which every package selection is centered. The link provided in the Current Group section accesses the Edit Group page where the current package selections can be removed and other group information can be edited.

The Group Builder panel can be accessed on the right of each page when you navigate away from the Group Builder or Edit Group pages. This is associated with the current group if a group has been selected for editing.

The Group Builder panel is displayed as the user navigates throughout rBuilder selecting packages to add to the group. Use the links in this panel to read package (trove) information, remove packages, cook the group, or access the Edit Group page for the current group.

The current group will remain the current group until one of the following things happen.

  • Changes are applied to the group
  • The group is cooked
  • Another group is created or selected
  • The current user closes the Group Builder panel (on the right of each page)
  • The current user logs out of rBuilder

Other Groups provides links to all groups in the product. Click the linked name of any of these groups to make it the current group.

The Create a new group link is provided at the bottom of the Group Builder page. Use this link to create a new group for the product.
