rBuilder Online:Installable ISO
From rPath Wiki
rBuilder Online --> Builds --> Build Types --> Installable ISO | See this topic for rBuilder Appliance
When creating builds in rBuilder Online, one of the build types is Installable CD/DVD. Use this option to create installation media from which you can install your software appliance.
| If you do not select a different value in the ISO size option, rBuilder will create installable CDs at 650 MB each. |
The following options can be customized in the Advanced Options section when creating a build of this build type.
- Bug Report URL
- Use this option to specify a URL where software appliance users can obtain assistance from the help screens displayed during installation.
- Custom output filename prefix
- Use this to specify a custom prefix for filenames output from the build, overriding the default name-version-architecture prefix.
- Custom Conary installLabelPath setting
- Use this to specify the locations where your software appliance will retrieve software updates, such as a local Conary repository dedicated to the development of your software appliance. (If you do not choose this option, the install label paths are set to locations at rpath.org.)
- Automatically install required dependencies during updates
- Use this if you want the appliance to automatically install additional software on which updates may depend.
- This build is considered a beta
- Use this to display an alert message during the installation process indicating that this is a beta release of the software appliance.
- Prompt to verify CD/DVD images during install
- Use this to prompt the installing user for whether to test the CD/DVD media before installation. This is primarily used when the ISO images are distributed to users who will burn them to their own media, potentially alerting them to improperly burned media.
- ISO size
- Use this to select a specific media size for the installable ISO. rBuilder will then create one or more ISO files of the chosen size (and will create multiple ISO files if necessary). If no other choice is made, rBuilder will use the default selection of 650 MB CDs.
- Version of the media-template trove to use when creating this image
- Use this option to include custom content (such as README or license files) in the ISO file. You can select a version to use or No <trove_name> for this build when this option is provided. See the rPath Linux:Installer Customization page for more details on taking advantage of this option.
- Version of the anaconda-templates trove to use when creating this image
- Use this to customize features in the installation environment for your software appliance. See the rPath Linux:Installer Customization page for more details on taking advantage of this option.
- Version of the anaconda-custom trove to use when creating this image
- Use this to streamline the installation process to meet the needs of your software appliance. You can select a version to use or No <trove_name> for this build when this option is provided. See the rPath Linux:Installer Customization page for more details on taking advantage of this option.
