rBuilder Online:Join a Product

As a registered user in rBuilder, you can join a product as a developer or product owner to actively participate in product development and management.

Use the following steps to join an rBuilder product:

1. Use the Search or Browse product links provided in the rBuilder page header to find a product you wish to join.
2. Click the linked product name in the search or browse results to open the Product Home page for that product. Read the description provided for the product to verify that this is the product you wish to join.
3. Click View Product Membership from the Product Resources panel. The product's Members page lists all current product owners and developers, and it shows the number of users watching the product. (rBuilder User Roles)
4. Click Request to join this product on the product's Members page.
5. Type any comments you wish to make regarding your request in the text box provided. A Retract Request button is provided if you wish to reverse this decision, though navigating away from the request page will also cancel your request.
6. Click Submit.
7. Verify a message appears above the content of the page to confirm you have joined the product.

Until your request is addressed, the join request link is replaced by a link to Modify your comments to a pending join request.

After your request is accepted, you will receive an email from rBuilder confirming your addition to the product and stating whether you have been made a product owner or a developer.

Products you have joined or created will be listed in your product panel under Products I Work On (as a developer) or Products I Own (as a product owner). Go directly to any of the products listed by clicking the links in this list.

If your request is rejected, you will receive an email from rBuilder including any comments from the product owner who handled the request.
