ESX Build Output Size Restriction

Is there any way to work around the 4GB limit? VMware reccomends that VHDs be split into 2GB chunks, would that output be possible? Mselnekovic 18:31, 22 October 2007 (EDT)

I know we have a techtip related to this topic: TECHTIP:VMware_Image_Size_Limit. I'm not sure about exceeding the 4 GB limit, but I will alert some others who might have some ideas. --Stef 20:10, 22 October 2007 (EDT)

Thanks. It seemed like a good idea to try and produce a disk image in 2GB chunks like VMware recommends as an optional best practice. It would be a useful option and could avoid the issue with zipping as indicated by the error output. Mselnekovic 23:30, 22 October 2007 (EDT)
