rPath Appliance Platform Agent:Include with an Appliance

Include the rPath Appliance Platform Agent with an appliance to enable a central point of control for administration, configuration, and maintenance functions, such as logging and email notifications, user account preferences, and software updates.

To include the rPath Appliance Platform Agent, add the group or add the packages from the appropriate label.
Choose the rAPA Group and Label
For the free and open source version of rAPA as provided for rBuilder Online projects, include rAPA as follows:
- rAPA 2.x -- Use group-raa from raa.rpath.org@rpath:raa-2
- rAPA 3.x -- Use group-rapa from raa.rpath.org@rpath:rapa-3
- Use addAppliancePlatform or rapaLabel as appropriate for your use of group-appliance from rPath Linux
For the supported version of rAPA as provided to customers, include rAPA as follows:
- rAPA 2.x -- Use group-raa from products.rpath.com@rpath:raa-2
- rAPA 3.x -- Use group-rapa from products.rpath.com@rpath:rapa-3
- Use addAppliancePlatform or rapaLabel as appropriate for your use of group-appliance from the rPath Appliance Platform Linux Service
Web Interface Access
When the rPath Appliance Platform Agent is included in an appliance, the web interface is available over HTTP and secure HTTP (HTTPS) connections. The agent will listen for these connections on ports 8003 (HTTPS) and 8004 (HTTP).
Access the rPath Appliance Platform Agent web interface for appliance administration by using one or either of the following in a web browser (depending on the appliance):
