rPath Appliance Platform Agent:System Updates
From rPath Wiki
The rPath Appliance Platform provides the following options for system updates:
- System Updates - UpdateTroves Plugin for launching system updates and scheduling update checks
- Rollbacks - Rollbacks Plugin for returning the system to a previous state
- Flip-flop Update - Flip-flop Update Plugin for returning the system to a previous state
- Factory Reset - Factory Reset Plugin for returning the system to its originally deployed state
The UpdateTroves plugin is included and enabled by default, and the rollbacks and flip-flop update plugins are enabled if they are included in the appliance. See the Plugins page for instructions for including the rollbacks and flip-flop update plugins.
| Sometimes failures can occur during appliance updates. See how to handle particular failures when they occur. |
The Conary command line provides all the same system update operations when rAP is inaccessible or unavailable. See the Conary QuickReference for instructions on accomplishing system update tasks at the command line.
